Some Christians believe that they will be raptured (from the latin "Rapturo" from the Greek "Harpazo") or transported to heaven before the Great Tribulation difficulties begin when this age on Earth comes to an end.. |

I AM NOT SO SURE |
It may be wishful thinking. I think all Christians believe they will be spared the "Wrath of God." But one camp thinks that the "Wrath" is the whole 7 year period of the Great Tribulation and Christians will be spared from all of it, while the other camp thinks that, while the whole Great Tribulation will be very distressful, the "Wrath" only comes at the end of that period and it equates to the "Day of the Lord" which is mentioned many times in the Bible. The former view is called a "Pre-Tribulation Rapture." The latter view is called a "Pre-Wrath Rapture." What is indisputable is the need to be ready when Judegement Day arrives. The alternative is not going to pretty. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2024&version=NIV |
